This country has been though one of its most divisive periods in history. Probably not since the civil rights marches in the 60's, the health care debate brought out the worst in America. When the opponents of health care came down to the end, instead of admitting defeat, the Republicans (Tea Party) they yelled racial epithets at African American Congressmen and an openly gay Congressman. And no one in the Republican party denounced these actions, not one.
If I were a Republican/Teabagger, I'd be ashamed of these people and call them out for their actions. But not this group of Republicans. They actually encourage this kind of behavior. It will be their downfall and ruination. America is at its heart a nation of good, ethical, moral people. The fear mongering of the tea party and their friends in the Republican party will destroy their once proud, sensible party.

Keith Olbermann Responds to the Dallas Tea Party
Recently Keith Olbermann called out the teabaggers for the lack of ethnic diversity at their events. He asked, "where are the people of color?" One of Olbermann's special comments drew attention to the lack of African Americans, Latinos and other minorities in America. The Dallas Tea Party group even went so far as to invite Olbermann to one of their events.
What they didn't know or didn't bother to find out is that Olbermann's father has been in intensive care for six months.

Keith Olberman Raises $1.7 Million for free clinics - 1000 treated in New Orleans
The first of the free clinics in states where conservative Democrats are considering joining Republicans to filibuster health care reform in the Senate took place last weekend in New Orleans. Over 1000 people saw doctors for the first time in a long time. The statistics were overwhelming. 83% of the patients were employed. 90% of the people seen had two diagnoses. 82%. had a life threatening condition, diabetes, high blood pressure or cardiovascular disease. Four people were taken directly from the clinic to a hospital because their condition was life threatening at that moment. One woman was told she had stage 4 breast cancer with tumors throughout her body. She has decided not to seek treatment. It's too late for her. She will be a statistic, one of the 45,000 who die every year for lack of adequate health care.
There are several more free clinics that are scheduled. Go to Freeclinics.us for more information
Senator Mary Landrieu's office was asked to attend, but she had a "scheduling conflict." What kind of person who represents New Orleans would not show up to see the devastation that lack of health care has wrought on her constituents? What kind of person threatens to block health care reform without seeing the devastation lack of health has wreaked on the citizens of her own state? I just don't get it Senator Landrieu. Shame on you.

The Case That Fox is NOT News
I've long made this argument that Fox just makes things up. They don't report news. They make things up, sometimes out of whole cloth, then move the "news" into their opinion shows, like Sean Hannity, Fox and Friends, then what happens is that real news stations pick up the story and before you know it, the entire country is being misinformed about any particular topic.
So, I say good on the White House for calling out Fox "News" in their quest to misinform America.

Remind me never to get Keith Olbermann mad
Keith Olbermann speaks to the blatant racism now permeating the McCain campaign through his VP choice, Sarah Palin, and other spokespeople. John McCain has run the most despicable, desperate campaign in American history.
