The Tea Partiers Have been Had - The Gift That Keepson Giving

Oh, those misguided tea partiers. The gift that keeps on giving, the Tea Party have finally realized that the Tea Party is just a way for the GOP and the monied groups that put together the Tea Party Express and other Tea Party event, are just money makers for their founders. It turns out the Tea Party companies and have either kept the money directly or funneled it into GOP coffers.

Turns out the Tea Partiers apparently can also time travel. They are planning a national day of strike on January 20, 2010, and if the companies of America don't stop funding socialism. Promising to return in February 2009, apparently the tea partiers can time travel. Silly, silly tea partiers.

As Thom Hartman said, much of the complaints of the Tea Party group have validity. The problem is - it is misdirected. Their real enemy - as is ours - is corporatist. Whether they have an R or a D in front of their name. Big business - uncontrolled and greedily running amok; not government, is the problem.

The tea party morons don't care. They just want to feel like they're a part of something.

Of course that something is corporate greed at the expense of their fellow man, but it's still something, right?

Why does Chris love sockpuppeting so much? Do you think people don't see through your typing style and numerous grammatical and spelling errors?

Here's a new concept for you, Chris: If you don't like it, don't read it.

Unless you just came here to argue. In which case you just need to get a life.

You are so smart. Tell me more.

anonymous - Nobody "hates" capitalism. Obviously, it is the lifeblood of commerce. But what you have now is unfettered, and largely unchecked commercial greed that has polluted democracy and strangled the middle class. You have a plutocracy run amok. My analogy is akin to water. We all agree, water is essential to life. Not enough rain, the crops fail. Too much and you have floods. We have the means to control that "water flow" in commerce so that it serves ALL of us - not just a few. For the past 30 or so years, all the "valves" have been forced wide open and our country and the middle class are drowning. Not the most perfect metaphor, but it explains where I'm at -at least.

And as an aside, I believe the reason we on the Left support Democrats over Republicans has primarily to do with who is behind these parties. On a broad scale, Republicans owe their allegiance to big business. Oh sure, we have a significant quantity of Dems in the pockets of big business, but the progressive movement will weed them out. There is no such allusion about Republicans. They are the handmaidens of the Chamber of Commerce. And the Chamber of Commerce is run by big business.

is that why our poor are rich when you look at the world view? Why do you people degrade our countries strengths and standard in the world? Stop lieing about everything.

Mike, he already knows all of this. He doesn't care.

Oh yes, nobody is in it for the money except tea partiers.

Pull your head out! Vomamike has nailed it. Government in bed with corporate America is a sick porno, regardless of party.

I am a dreaded rightwing, gun clinging bible thumper who also respects Thom Hartmann. I don't agree with everything he says, but I also don't agree that we should smear and try to shut up everybody we disagree with.

Silverfiddle, no one is trying to shut anyone up. What needs to happen is some common sense on the right. Threats of violence is not what the situation needs.

Tea partiers need to rethink their positions on many issues and threats of violence and fake movements don't serve anyone except the organizers of the fake grassroot movement.

Hey Silverfiddle, welcome to Bruce's blog. Nice Avatar, btw.

Like Mike was saying, the anger of the Tea Party is misdirected. The problem with the corpocracy we have today is due to the banks and other large corporations being allowed to hurt consumers and workers under the so-called "free market" system. The laws aren't as strict as they need to be to protect consumers and workers because of the legalized bribery (campaign contributions) that come from corporate donors.

You seem like a conservative we could actually have a conversation with, unlike the troll that comes around. Welcome.
