The most despicable health care ad

Last night on The Rachel Maddow Show, Rachel discussed an ad created by conservative filmmaker Ray Griggs. I guess the title of it is, "I Guess I'm Racist." I guess the point of the ad is that people who are against President Obama's health care push are racists. I'm not sure there was a direct correlation between race and people's opposition to health care, but there is.

when you take into account that one of the weakest points of the Republican Party is racism - and you take the Republican Party policy of spinning their weaknesses into strengths - well then this ad makes perfect sense. Righties will only see the one level - that is the denial that their Party is racist and this ad "makes fun" of that accusation. The more subtle level, is an overt appeal to Whites to resist a black Presidents efforts to be President. You don't need a degree in psychology to see that.

If the right-wing doesn't want to be called racist, then they should work on calling out the racists in their own camp instead of defending them. Defending the racist statements of Beck and Limbaugh just shows that you condone such statements.

Hell, you don't even have to denounce Rush and Beck entirely, just tell them to quit being racist assholes. Police your own people and they won't be a problem.
