Listen to Tiffany's Story - Abortion is Not a Black and White Issue

The abortion issue is again at the center of the health care debate as we move toward passage. It's not the black and white issue those on the right would have us believe. Tiffany, the woman in the video, had to make a choice, let both of her children die in utero or have a selective abortion. Some in Congress want to take away Tiffany's choice to save one of her children. Don't let them do it. Tell Congress to fix abandon the Stupak language.

Very few things in life are black and white.

The fact that there was not one pro-abortion charity that volunteered to step in and help these people is a shame.

The federal government has no business being involved in insurance at all.

I totally disagree Silverfiddle. Private insurance companies have no business in health care.

Their only motive is bigger and bigger profits and the only way to achieve those bigger profits for their shareholders is to deny coverage and raise premiums.

Tiffany shouldn't have to rely on charity to get this necessary but heart wrenching procedure.

And the flip side of this is that the government loses money on EVERYTHING. ...and it's our money!

Following your reasoning (and I'm not criticizing it. I don't agree, but it is a reasonable argument you make)...

We cannot survive without food. Is it right for businesses to be making a profit selling this very staple of life? And denying it to those who cannot pay?

Visions of torches and pitchforks at the Safeway...

We all need a roof over our heads. How dare we allow Realtors to profit from this? Why should people, families, families with little kids! have to buy such a necessity? Why not give houses away?

I know, in Detroit they are...

Silverfiddle, there are government programs that help the needy, whether it's food or shelter and health care should be on that list where people that don't have health care can get help.

I'd prefer the insurance companies weren't involved at all. The current bill with the appropriate amendments, looks like the best we can do for now.

It's time to pass health care reform NOW.
