Jan Bendor ran for township clerk in Pittsfield Township. She requested a recount and yesterday was the last day for that recount to take place. I attended the board of canvassers meeting. The board has a member, Kim Hoppe, the woman in the pink jacket in the video. You'll find her quite amusing. According to Michigan law, a candidate has a right to a recount, no questions asked. This is the hearing that took place yesterday. An intersting note, before the hearing I overheard Ms. Hoppe speaking to one of the volunteers doing the recount telling her there would be no recount.

Palin Poll Proves She's Not All That
This probably isn't the result Saul was expecting, but it does prove people aren't as stupid as John McCain thinks they are. Almost 95% of those taking the Palin Poll on the Michigan GOP web site say the Palin pick is more likely to make them vote for Obama.
